Unplggd is looking to grow and grow with your help. We're looking for a couple of self-motivated aesthetes and technophiles who have a knack for technological DIY solutions around the home to join our team. Someone who loves magazines like MAKE while also having an appreciation for integrating consumer technology seamlessly into every day life, taking geek to chic. Someone who knows both their Karim Rashids and Jaron Laniers.

Our ideal candidate is just as apt to know a hacked DIY solution to a problem as they are to know a retail resource for readers' questions. Job Title: Tech Blogger

Responsibilities: Reporting news in words and pictures, along with features of interest, how-to's, and arrange for home/office tours showcasing home environment where technology is aesthetically integrated. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to covering assigned topics, reporting breaking news, writing features, generating story ideas, attending trade shows, photography, layout and design with 3-5 posts daily, 5 days a week.

Primary Skills: Qualified candidates should have attention to detail, ability to work independently but works well within a team environment, meet deadlines, strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and willingness to help answer questions in detail.

Skill requirements: solid knowledge of Movable Type and standard HTML formatting (please, no blogging newbs); Photoshop or similar image editing application; broadband connection; digital camera, Mac or PC.

This is not a fulltime position, but compensation is made per post at on a scale based upon total amount and depth of posts (details will be discussed personally with candidates). We're especially looking for candidates who live in tech-centric cities like Austin, San Francisco, Seattle, New York and Los Angeles, but all applications welcome.
