Pimlico Place

Pimlico Place

Feb 21, 2008

Shopping at Pimlico Place is kind of what we imagine it would be like to shop at our great-aunt's house, if we had a glamorous great-aunt with excellent taste who had traveled extensively around the world. The store itself feels like something out of a fairytale - every corner filled with shiny antique silver, vintage English barware, mirrored side tables, art deco accessories, and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. An almost perfect blend of old and new, it's long been our favorite place to pick up gifts - whoever you're shopping for, you're almost sure to find something for them here.

There are actually two stores, the main Pimlico Place which carries primarily jewelry and accessories, along with some home goods, and the Pimlico Annex just around the corner which is primarily home decor items.

Owner Annette Benyamin is famous among customers for having a killer eye - let her know what you're looking for and she can pull out precisely what you want. The majority of the merchandise is acquired during regular buying trips to Europe, meaning you'll find things there that you're unlikely to see in other stores.

Glamor is definitely the key word here, and it's the perfect place to pick up some accessories to bring your space up a notch - whether it's a vintage table lamp, tray for your entry hall, or a crystal candelabra.

As you would guess, with such a variety of merchandise the price points also vary widely, but along with the high end antiques there's enough that's affordable to make sure shoppers on any budget can walk away with something.
