Martha, Martha, Martha. She comes up with some good stuff. This line of wool petit point rugs produced by Safavieh would work SO well with some Scandinavian Modern pieces and the Mid-C classics. Something about the slightly vintage quality of the colors, the old-fashioned needlework process and the whimsical, happy patterns make these a match for some good 20th century design...large photos and links below the jump:

Solar Garden, available in Crocus (shown), Fig, Mulberry and Pear

Grove, available in Twig (shown) and Silver Leaf.

Both are available in seven sizes ranging from 2'6 x 4'3 through 9'6 x 13'6 and a runner.

Safavieh rugs are sold in Chicago at Walter E. Smithe, Peerless Imports, Bloomingdales, Gallerie One and Baker in the Mart.
