Hinoki Tissue Box

Hinoki Tissue Box

TGIF everyone. There's hardly anyone out there who is more excited it's the weekend than myself. I've been amongst the congested/sore/hacking zombies who've been trying to survive this wildfire of a flu making the rounds throughout Los Angeles. This week has been all about "just making it to Friday". Between my girlfriend and I, we've gone through enough boxes of tissues to construct a wall with them...

But even in my sickened state, I still dislike seeing the gaudy graphics and colours tissue manufacturers like to embellish their boxes with. My girlfriend sometimes gets annoyed because I hide the boxes under beds, couches and tables so I don't have to see them intrude as an eyesore.

I guess if I wasn't frugal I'd consider purchasing one of these Hinoki cypress wood tissue boxes. A simple, but organically beautiful design with an anti-bacterial property and natural fresh scent, it sure beats the floral designs on the sides of most tissue boxes. I especially like the side circle cut-out which allows you to see how many tissues you have left at a quick glance. A simple detail, but one well thought out. Kleenex and Puffs, please take note!

You can purchase one of these Hinoki tissue boxes here.
