Bargain Alert: Pendleton Merino Throw

Bargain Alert: Pendleton Merino Throw

Pure merino wool is unbelieveably soft and warm. Wool also tends to stay cleaner than synthetics or cotton, and it's more durable, too, so it's a good, green choice for a throw. We used one over Christmas to stay warm during a cold snap in Chicago, and we've been looking for one to use on damp, chilly days here in Northern California. This might just be it.

We're liking the warm colors in this plaid, which look retro without trying too hard. We're also really liking the price. Regularly $98, it is now $49.99 at the Pendleton Store clearance sale.

We feel good about buying from Pendleton because it's a more local choice. When just about every textile seems to be coming from China, Pendleton still makes blankets in the US.
